Shelley stood up and stretched. Her thoughts of Mr. Coffee had taken up more time than she had intended to invest. Shelley decided to get on with her life, as it were. She walked over to her closet and slid back the doors. Shelley chose a rainbow striped silk dress and covered her naked body with it. She gathered her purse, keys, and cellphone.
"I have to get out of here for a while. This person is driving me nuts, and it appears that he is not available. I will not lower myself by fucking around with someone that is already in a relationship. Thank goodness, I had him in my thoughts before anything serious happened. Creeping with him could have got hurtful for mu heart and awkward for us when we crossed paths again." Shelley moaned aloud.
She walked toward the door. Shelley grabbed the doorknob and sighed. She shoved her cell phone inside her purse. No sooner than she had, her phone vibrated. Shelley shrugged her shoulders and opened the door.
The sun cast a bright light on the world outside. Shelley raised her hand to her brow and squinted. She turned, locked her door, and strolled down the steps to her car. When Shelley opened the car door and slid in, she quickly pulled down the visor, before she started the car. The radio blared loudly, the moment her car started.
"Thank you for joining us on HOT 107.5, all local, unlike that "other" station. We headed to the nine o'clock hour and our, Bytch Please segment "Foolish said.
Shelley giggled. She reached over and lowered the volume on her radio. Then Shelley pulled out of her parking spot and into traffic. She leaned in the seat and hit the power button to roll down her window. A gentle breeze swirled around through her hair.
Her stomach growled which reminded her that she had not eaten breakfast. She drove down the road until she saw a strip mall on Gratiot. Shelley pulled into the lot and parked. She turned her car off.
She pulled her keys from the ignition and dropped them in her purse. Her hand brushed across her cell phone. The device vibrated against the back of her hand. Shelley sighed, clasped it in her hand, and pulled it out. Shelley looked at her screen and saw missed messages.
The phone vibrated once more. Shelley pushed the screen to check her messages. The first one contained a link. Shelley followed it. A page opened up, and Shelley started to read it and then clutched her throat suddenly.
"Abandoned Property, he is abandoned property huh? I get many emails because someone's account has been hacked, I wonder if that is this is real. Wait that is him." Shelley whispered.
Shelley read the whole page. She shook her head back and forth. She scrolled down, and there was another picture of Mr. Coffee. He leaned up against a wall with his hands in pockets. Shelley inhaled.
She enlarged the photo. Shelley looked at the expression on his face. His face appeared flirty and hopeful. Shelley thought it was a good picture. Still, in his eyes, she saw something that disturbed her.
She felt her body heat up. Shelley bit her lip. Her heart pounded. Mr. Coffee had been abandoned, which meant that she was not mistaken about what she thought she saw in his eyes. He was alone inside, and she had sensed it.
She looked over the page and saw his Twitter feed. She scrolled through it. She laughed out loudly. Shelley wiped tears of joy from her eyes.
"I heard that you been thinking about me too. Shit, I thought it was just me. Brunch, a little wine, what you want to do ma? You like the movies. Get your man, let's spend a little time together."
Shelley closed her browser and smiled. She looked out of the window. The parking lot had begun to fill with cars. She then realized that she still had not eaten breakfast. She decided to grab breakfast to go. Shelley wanted to go back to her house and think it through alone. Shelley checked her next message. She frowned while she read it and closed her notes. She did not have time to entertain negative gossip about other people.
"Trying to discourage me from going to him, "Bytch Please, mind your own business. We got this." Shelley mumbled.
She turned the key in her ignition. Shelley turned the radio up and pulled out of her spot. "Corporate Thuggin" blared from her speakers. She pulled her dress up over her knees and rested her hand on her thigh near her bare treasure. Shelley knew where to find him.
"Did you see him lick his lips like that, Shelley. You know he did that on purpose. Yeah, he might be a real person with a real heart, but sexual attraction is a part of human nature. Admit it. He makes you wet in a way that you like. Maybe it is his potential as a future mate, and maybe he has aroused your basic animal instincts. You have had a true lover that could not do that even if the person spit on it first. Both ways, you two have attracted each other, and he wants to see you. You know that you want to see him too. Life is too short not to have happy thoughts whenever you can. Love is risky, so get your man, get to know him, and take the risk. You have been self-assessing the matter." Shelley decided.
She relaxed. Shelly was wise enough to know that an incredible imaginary romp in the sack amounted to fantasy. She suspected that he had encountered the same problem as she often did. People caught up in the outer image. She knew that how that felt.
Finally, her weekend had begun to make sense. Shelley realized that she had flashed her id too. His heart had called out to the part of her that focused on her pleasure and ignited a match. There are three unique parts of the human personality. The id was the portion that searched for the fulfillment of desires otherwise known as the pleasure principle. She had to contain her response until she returned home. It was at that point that she sent back her message to him.
"Yes, a self-assessment is a real thing before you fuck a total stranger. Know your worth and what you want first. We want to get to know each other and trust that once we do, somebody will be paying for a new headboard." Shelley whispered.
Shelley slowed down for a yellow light. She turned her radio up another notch. She could tell now that she was heavy on Mr. Coffee's mind. Her radio station returned from a commercial break. She looked down at the face of the radio and grinned.
"This is DJ Base, coming through your speakers. I stopped by to wish you all a "GOOD MERNIN," we gonna slow it down for the mature and sexy lovers for a moment." She heard.
Shelley pushed her foot on the gas and slowly rolled across the intersection. She could not help but snicker to herself. It was as if Mr. Coffee had stereotyped a response to her thoughts on air. Shelley rode along and listened to the throwback "Two Occasions".
"Me too baby, me too." She said.
