Shelley made it home safely. She had hurriedly said her goodbyes to Kyrie before she got out of the car with her packages. She rammed her hand her in purse for her keys and huffed with frustration. Instead of door keys, she had pulled out Mr. Unknown Coffee card again.
She shoved it in her bra to free up her hand and once again hunted for her keys. Finally, she located them and opened her door. The house was quiet and dark. Shelley flicked on the living room light and sat her bags on the sofa table.
It had been an exhausting morning. Since Kyrie had invited her, she had felt agitated. It felt as though time had escaped. It was almost two in the afternoon. Shelley had not accomplished any of her usual Saturday chores. She was tired and tense just the same.
"Okay, just get a glass of wine and relax for a minute. Jump on these tasks and get you ready for this function tonight." Shelley said aloud.
She slowly walked into the kitchen and pulled a wine goblet down from the cabinet. Shelley rinsed it. After she had done so, opened the first drawer on the sink, and retrieved a corkscrew. Shelley sighed and turned to head into the front room when she heard her cell phone ring.
Balancing the corkscrew, a wet glass, she sprinted for her purse. Without looking, she quickly located her phone inside. She used her thumb to swipe the screen and answer. Shelley shoved the phone into her ear and held it in the crook of her neck while easing down on the couch.
"Hello?" Shelley said.
"Hey girl, I was wondering did you get a chance to go Facebook and link up with any of the people from that group yet," Kyrie asked.
"Nope, I got a few things to do, but I was going to later."
"Alright, just giving you fair warning. You are going to faint. One of them was so kind as to put a picture up of us at the meeting."
"A picture, are you sure? I mean no one is going to recognize either one of us. Hell, I look like I just got out the shower and brushed at my hair."
"I'll call you back. That has got to come down. I can't imagine what the hell would make someone take a picture of me today. I certainly did not look like worth keeping, first him, now this. I can't wait for this day to be over. "
"I have a lot on my mind right now. I'll check on it and call you back later okay."
"Alright, just thought you would want to know."
Shelley hung up. She reached for the bottle of Pink Moscato and opened it. She poured a half glass and sipped it. She savored the sweet juice for a second and eventually swallowed it. She rose up and sashayed into her bedroom. She sat her computer desk in the far corner with her glass in hand.
Shelley logged into Facebook. She checked her notifications and saw nothing. Something nagged her; it was not like Kyrie to call her about something like that in the first place. In fact, she began to wonder why Kyrie had even invited her to a Christian writer's function in the first place. She reached in her bra, read the name on the card, and typed it in her browser.
Shelley slid back in the chair when the screen changed. She dropped her head. Her hand gripped the handle of the chair while she looked at the post. Mr. Unknown Coffee had managed to snap a photo of them. Shelley was glad she was home alone now. She tried her best to suppress the memory of what had caused the look that she had on her face in the photo. Was she the only one thinking about everything but poetry at that meeting? He had posted the picture of the very moment that Shelley thought it would be more fun to flash him.
"Oh no, what if he heard us? Oh goodness, this is not good. That has to come down. Okay, I'm sure he's a nice guy and meant no harm. What the hell was he thinking? This is not a photo of natural beauty, at least not in my opinion. More like naturally being naughty! Okay, think Shelley. Just ask him to take it down. Hopefully, he missed that bad girl twinkle in your eye and had no idea. He could not have possibly known what was on your mind, could he. With all the people there, it had to be innocent." She thought.
Just then, Shelley realized she had been the focus of his attention at some point during the meeting. Having a creative imagination meant that sometimes she had to ignore things that she randomly thought. She had come home thinking that she had imagined looking in his eyes even for a brief second. Now, she was not sure. She sipped her wine again, then smiled.
Shelley sat until her screensaver popped up. She closed her eyes and let her hand travel to her breast. Suddenly, Shelley could hear his voice in her head. A sly smile crossed her face as she laid her back against the headrest of the chair. She let the fantasy of her, him, and the counter that she had in her head finally play out.
As if in a dream, Shelley made her way to her giant luxurious bed. She stripped down to her sheer panties and laid on the cool Satin comforter. Her hands began to roam over her tummy and down to her inner thighs almost immediately. Her fingers brushed over her inflated button, and she gasped.
"Playing with me will get you into a fat, juicy, batch of trouble Mister," Shelley moaned.
